ICDL in Namibia

The European Computer Driving License has been recognised as an integral step in bridging the digital divide in Ireland.  The ECDL programme addresses the IT Skills needs of individuals both young and mature, either for a beginner’s level or for those at an advanced or professional level.
More specifically for schools ECDL provides both students and teachers with essential skills to use technology as a learning tool for all subjects. To date 450 of the second level schools in Ireland are accredited as ECDL test centres. Most of the third level institutions offer ECDL, some making ECDL mandatory for certain courses. 120,000 second level students have completed ECDL.
