To improve overall productivity at the company, and to ensure the company’s information management systems are utilised properly, Toyota Tsusho sought one computer skills certification programme to be an internal standard for all staff. Recognising the international recognition acquired by the International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL), Toyota Tsusho was extremely pleased to find that ICDL already had a proven track record of improving productivity of multinational companies including those involved in Automotive manufacturing such as Renault in France. In 2008, Toyota Tsusho made ICDL a prerequisite for all the staff that use the company’s information management systems in the seven countries in Africa.
