As part of the United Nations Secretary-General’s commitment to investing in people, the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) with offices in New York, Geneva and Addis Ababa is dedicated to supporting the development of United Nations staff members around the world. In early 2009 the Human Resources Management (OHRM) office released its new staff development programme designed to meet the needs of some 60,000 United Nations staff around the world.
The purpose of the 2009 staff development programme is to help all U.N. staff to build a common culture based on core values of integrity, professionalism, and respect for diversity. The International Computer Driving License as part of the U.N. global HR strategy provides a common platform from which U.N. staff can build greater skills and competencies leveraging talent by capitalizing on and enhancing the skills of our workforce through training and developing our staff.
